If I had to sum up the best food pairing for albarino in one word it would be seafood. Which makes sense considering where it comes from on the coast of Galicia in the Rias Baixas region of northern Spain.

On a hazy March morning @clevedonpier was just a joy - like stepping back into the 50s except for the rows of plaques that line the sides commemorating births, deaths and love affairs. Resolved to go more often. #clevedonpier #clevedom #pier #seaside #somersetWhat a way to kick off a meal: potato beignets with anchovy mayo and parmigiano reggiano. Then two exemplary main courses, cod and mussels with curried crab sauce (a bit like a mouclade) and pork schnitzel with brown butter capers and (more) anchovies. Not many restaurants have main courses that are as good as their starters but @1yorkplace_bristol is one of them.
